The Lincoln Economic Development Authority has been working with Kidney Associates, PLLC for almost two years now. This group is wanting to build an 8,000 sq. ft. Kidney Dialysis Center on the Lincoln County Business Park (formerly the Demonstration Farm). This company will be investing almost 2 million dollars in building the facility and will employ approximately 12 people. The Lincoln EDA is looking for the public's support in getting approval with this project.
The process of approval for the Kidney Dialysis Center is controlled by the West Virginia Health Care Authority. This process is called a Certificate of Need (CON) and medical facilities must receive this approval before they can build. The CON Panel is made up of three members that decide whether the company should proceed with building the facility. At this stage a public hearing is currently being scheduled and when that date is released I will let you know.
The company that filed the request for a public hearing is Bio-Medical Applications of West Virgnia, Inc. We will continue to update you on the progress of this project and will ask for your support as the time draws closer.
Thanks for your support.
